The country I come from is wide and is green
There are blooming flowers, there are blooming dreams

But there are some people crying some screams
The country I come from seems not what it seems

The country I come from has peace and has luck
There still are living swans and there still live ducks
But where doves are resting, there are flying hawks
The country I come from is sometimes so dark

The country I come from has freedom, that's true
So why do the people who live here feel blue?
Some mighty men can be dangerous and cruel
But I love my country, perhaps I'm a fool

The country I come from is so green and wide
And it never lost its old and great pride
It has so much glory we don't need to hide
I'm proud I was born here, so I feel allright
