TV-Serienhelden: Inspector Humphrey Goodman ("Death in Paradise")

Goodman zeigte we-
tive Inspector Jack Moony.
Inspector Goodman wurde ab Staffel 3, in welcher
Poole-Darsteller Ben Miller aus der Serie ausstieg,
Hauptfigur der von Robert Thorogood geschaffe-
nen Krimiserie "Death in Paradise". Dargestellt
wurde Goodman von Kris Marshall. Nach dessen
Ausstieg übernahm dann Ardan O'Hanlon als In-
spector Moony.

Well, I'm just a workin' man's dollar
In the pocket of his old blue jeans
I ain't like my Wall Street brother
He's in a bank so shiny and clean

Well, I'm faded and I'm wrinkled
Tattered and stained with sweat
But I'm the first one called when Uncle Sam
Needs a hand with the national debt

I've been wages for the farm hand
For drivin' an old John Deere
I've been laid on a bar in a tavern
To buy a workin' man an ice-cold beer

I've been tipped to a truck-stop waitress
Taped where I was torn
And in the hand of a child I was laid on a plate
In a church on Sunday morn

Well, they say I'm the root of all evil
I bring lust, power and greed
But this workin' man's dollar only buys the things
A workin' man really needs

Well, they say I'm worth about fifty-cents
In this modern inflated age
But don't tell that to the young man slavin'
To make it on a minimum wage

Or that single workin' mother
She's been scrapin' to make ends meet
To make a house a home, keep food on the table
And shoes on her baby's feet

Well, I know my days are numbered
I'm gettin' threadbare and wearin' thin
And they'll replace me with another
But I'd do it all again

'Cause I've seen this great big country
Passed from hand to callused hand
And I've got to say that I'm mighty proud
That I belong to the workin' man

Well, they say I'm the root of all evil
I bring lust, power and greed
But this workin' man's dollar only buys the things
A workin' man really needs

Songtext: "I Need A Honky Tonk Angel Tonight"

AnnahCook
It's not for the music that I still come here
It's not for the drinking, the whiskey or beer
It's just for her looks and her beautiful sight
I need a honky tonk angel tonight

I need a honky tonk angel to hold me tight
I need a honky tonk angel tonight

It's just for the feeling I've got when I'm here
For I know somebody who loves me is near
I don't wanna go home where nothing is right
I need a honky tonk angel tonight

I need a honky tonk angel to hold me tight
I need a honky tonk angel tonight

I need a honky tonk angel tonight

TV-Serienhelden: Inspector Richard Poole ("Death in Paradise")

Seine Me-
nicht anzugtragenden Inspector Humphrey Good-
nahm.

Classic Country Lyrics: "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" von Charlie Daniels

Fiddler Mark O'Connor hinzugezogen.

The devil went down to Georgia, he was looking for a
soul to steal.
He was in a bind 'cos he was way behind and he was
willin' to make a deal.
When he came across this young man sawin' on a
fiddle and playin' it hot.
And the devil jumped upon a hickory stump and said:
"Boy let me tell you what:
"I guess you didn't know it, but I'm a fiddle player too.
"And if you'd care to take a dare, I'll make a bet with
you.
"Now you play a pretty good fiddle, boy, but give the
devil his due:
"I bet a fiddle of gold against your soul, 'cos I think
I'm better than you."
The boy said: "My name's Johnny and it might be a
sin,
"But I'll take your bet, your gonna regret, 'cos I'm the
best that's ever been."

Johnny you rosin up your bow and play your fiddle hard.
'Cos hells broke loose in Georgia and the devil deals the
cards.
And if you win you get this shiny fiddle made of gold.
But if you lose, the devil gets your soul.

The devil opened up his case and he said: "I'll start this
show."
And fire flew from his fingertips as he rosined up his bow.
And he pulled the bow across his strings and it made an
evil hiss.
Then a band of demons joined in and it sounded some-
thing like this.
When the devil finished, Johnny said: "Well you're pretty
good ol' son.
"But sit down in that chair, right there, and let me show
you how its done."

Fire on the mountain, run boys, run.
The devil's in the house of the risin' sun.
Chicken in the bread pan, pickin' out dough.
"Granny, does your dog bite?"
"No, child, no."

The devil bowed his head because he knew that he'd
been beat.
He laid that golden fiddle on the ground at Johnny's feet.
Johnny said: "Devil just come on back if you ever want
to try again.
"cause I told you once, you son of a gun, I'm the best
there's ever been."

And he played fire on the mountain, run boys, run.
The devil's in the house of the risin' sun.
Chicken in the bread pan, now they're pickin' out dough.
"Granny, will your dog bite?"
"No, child, no."

Unbekannte Schönheiten

"You know, this is just in case you've never seen a fat babe loving herself with her belly out and squished and double chin on point. It's crazy to think that most of us have grown up without ever seeing images of a body like mine represented in a way that is not a "before"picture or in a sexual way. This is me, just being happy, enjoying the morning sun, and just being normal. Bodies that look like mine and yours exist and the people who they belong to can be happy, successful and beautiful."
Every time she took a bite someone would snap her picture .
As the rain comes down and the temperature plummets I can reflect upon happy spring days when the women blossom...
