I wonder how the Virgin Mary could have had her child
The more I grew the more the story started sounding wild
But I still like the things we all do for His birthday
Sometimes I wish my old believe wouldn't have turned away

                   I still like the candles burning on the Christmas tree

                   And the family meetings I still really do adore

I don't know if the Bible has only told the truth
I started asking questions when I was in my youth
No preachers and no teachers the answers ever gave
Now some may call me sinner and some may call me brave
