Niccolo Sfondrati (1535-1591), Papst von 1590 bis 1591.
Niccolo Sfondrati nannte sich als Papst Gregor XIV. in
Anlehnung an Gregor XII., der ihn zum Kardinal erhoben
hatte. Das Pontifikat Gregors XIV. dauerte aber nur gerade
ein Jahr, dann starb er an Nierensteinen.
